Excellence in Worship

Yesterday at church, the Holy Spirit hit me right between the eyes. Do I give my best to God? When I worship Him, do I give him what is left or the first fruits? Do I focus on Him during church or am I distracted? Is my quiet time scheduled around my free time, or do I make that a priority and work around that?

AND am I praising God first thing when I get up and last thing before I go to sleep? That's such an easy thing to offer to my Lord. Why did I not think of that?

Ouch!

I had planned to get up, like I normally do, this morning and read my Bible except this time I was going to take notes...not just highlight the verses that stood out. Well, I didn't fall asleep until after midnight. Just couldn't sleep, so needless to say, I didn't wake up with extra time to do that. I woke up with just enough time to get ready. Oy!

This is something we should all be asking ourselves. Good post!

I am always rushed in the mornings but I try my best on the way in to work to give that time to Christ. And I take at least 5 minutes at my desk everyday to try and focus on what He wants me to do. At night is easiest for me but really it shouldn't be what's convenient...its so hard. Mark really hit the nail on the head with this message!

Our pastor mentioned this too. I'm guilty. Really guilty....:-(
