Plans for Ministry

And let us not be weary in well-doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. --Galatians 6. 9

I won't go into a long drawn out explanation of how it came to be, but God and I have made plans for me to provide quilts for the NICU at St. Vincent Infirmary, where LMW stayed a few days. They were so good to him and to us, and I want to do something for them, and for the glory of God. I'm trying to be low-key about it, because I do want HIM to get the glory and not me.

And so my first NICU quilt is done......

 And another is begun.....

Please pray for me as I try not to obsess over this, and make it an idol. And help me pray that my small talent will be used for His kingdom. I pray that somehow, this small effort will bring peace to the parents of the sick children, and bring them closer to a saving relationship with Christ.

Oh, my goodness. That made tears come to my eyes. All that love coming from the hands of God to your hands to parents and then a little tiny child of God's in the hospital. I can feel all that love all the way over here in Georgia! The blessings will be unimaginable! I gotta go get me some tissue now...

Belinda, I have a 94 year old friend who makes quilts for the children. She makes about 10 a week! i don't know if she still sends them to the hospital or not. But they are the tied kind, not nearly as elaborate or beautiful as yours. She said she has made over 10,000 in her lifetime! And yes, I did mean 94. What a wonderful project.

I love this idea. Just love it. And, I'm sure God will work it to good, and make sure it will bring glory to His name! He knows the heart behind the hands that made these beautiful quilts. That means the world to him. I LOVE this! :)

I think it is a lovely idea for you to provide quilts for the hospital unit that helped your grandson. Would you like some help from other quilters or have you committed to doing this on your own? I would be happy to send you a quilt or two.

This is a great idea! I am sure you will be blessed. I love making charity quilts the most--especially when I know they bring a smile.
