Page 2_Vacation 2011: Orange Beach

Our hotel....nothing special but perfect for us. And the view toward Perdido Key from the water's edge.

Ahhhh, we finally reached our real destination!  Sister in the water...we couldn't wait to get in when we got there.

In the dusky darkness we just sat on the balcony and drank it all in.  We were at the wrong angle to see the sunrise, but this was pleasing enough for us!

Monday, we were on the beach before most others, and I couldn't resist this shot of a father and son. The little boy was frolicking in the surf and having the best time. Dad was just watching with a smile on his face. That is what it's all about people.

I love this photo!

We decided to drive toward Pensacola and enter Florida since Sister had never been. We wound up at the lighthouse. We planned to go there, but wasn't thinking about it until we saw the signs.

I intended to climb to the top, as did Sister, but when we saw how tall it really was, and how hot, we decided against it. Pity, it would have been an awesome spot up there for a great photo!

We were really glad we got up close and personal with it though. And came away with a cool tee shirt. *grin*
When we got back we went to the beach again and saw that looming cloud. Found out later that we missed a thunderstorm in Pensacola by a few minutes. Thank you Lord!!

Sister and me on the beach. (And since my sister is an English teacher, and my daughter a technical writer, I know for sure that is the correct grammar. Just a little english lesson there folks. LOL) A sweet lady and her granddaughter who were at the beach, asked us to take their photo on the beach, and returned the favor.
